Party packages and pricing
Prices are charged on a per-child rate, with a minimum number of 12 and a maximum number of 40 children per party. Smaller or larger parties are available by arrangement – please contact us if you would like to discuss your needs.
Parties with large numbers of guests, non-participating parents, prams etc. are often held outside of our Malvern shop at one of our other locations. If our current list of alternative venues is too far from where you live, please call us to talk through hosting your party at a closer, more convenient venue.

Basic party – $20 per child |
The Basic party (1.5 hr duration ) includes the venue hire, party supervisor, chef’s hats and aprons for all the kids to dress up in and feel the part, pre-cooking activities, plus all cooking equipment and ingredients for the chosen recipe. The party guest arrival and welcome together with the cooking component of the party will take approx 45 mins to 1.0 hour, which will leave approx 30 minutes available for celebrations at the party table.
Parents are welcome to provide party food (cold food only please, as our ovens will be busy baking all your guests creations), drinks and table items, and to enjoy the use of our kids party room, however will need to manage all set-up, supervision of the party table and cleanup of these areas whilst our staff bake the children’s creations, ready to hand out as their take-home treat at the end of the party time.
Please note: games and dancing at the end of the party is not included in this package. This party package option is best suited to our out of shop parties, however if you plan to hold your party with us at our Malvern shop, the basic party option can be arranged as either the first or last party booking of the day. Please make sure you advise us that you wish have a basic party at the time you make your booking, us so that we can ensure the appropriate booking time (first or last party of the day) is made.

Complete party – $25.95 per child |
The Complete party (1.5 hr duration) includes all of the above, plus delicious party food, as listed below, and a range or fun party games at the end of your party for approx 5-15 minutes, all served and supervised by our experienced staff, together with their baked take home treat:
- Fairy bread (spread with dairy-free margarine)
- Hot chips
- Fish fingers- Birdseye Captain Hook (or for a vegetarian party you can substitute for margarita pizza)
- Potato crisps (plain)
- Parker’s pretzels
- Corn chips (plain)
- Popcorn (coloured or butter)
- Fresh fruit (watermelon, grapes and oranges)
- Cordial (lemon)
- Water
We are happy to provide additonal marg pizzas/pizza muffins, veggie sticks and hommus dip, fruit juice or soft drinks. If you have any special requests such as sushi, please let us know.
Otional extras, such as adding either pass parcel -Gourmet kids style (where we use a box – not wrappings and every child gets a prize $1 per child), lolly bags $1 per child, child size functional mini cooking utensi $1.50 per child,l or helium balloons $1.50 per child, are all available – please let us know what you have in mind.

Extra fun party – $29.50 per child |
With our Extra Fun party, (1.5 hr duration) every last detail is taken care of! This package includes everything that the Complete party has above, plus pass the parcel (where every child gets a prize) lolly bag with a child size functional mini cooking utensil and helium balloon to take home.
Longer party time – 1.75 or 2.0 hour party
Should you wish to extend your party from the standard 1.5 hour to either 1.75 or 2.0 hrs (you would like to make mini cakes or cupcakes or simply would just like a longer party) this can be done providing you advise us early, either at the time of making your booking or as soon as you receive our party confirmation letter (so that the next party time can be rescheduled). The cost for each 15 minute block extension is $2 per child (ie $4 per child for an additional half hour party).

Why not let us take care of the cake as well? Gourmet Kids can arrange a personalised fresh cream sponge (vanilla or chocolate) or an ice-cream cake, with your choice of edible gel images and birthday greeting drawn on top, or an edible photo image of your child for no extra cost. Our cake prices start from $25.95 (inclusive of candles, plates etc.), and we also have a range of speciality options such as dollcakes, or are happy to accept any special requests.
You are welcome to bring your own cake, however a $10 surcharge will apply to cover the supply of candles, plates, cutlery, napkins and clean-up services.
Photographs
Give your child something to remember by choosing either a group or individual photograph for $18 (including postage).
After the cooking session while all the children are still dressed in their chef’s outfits, our staff will line all of the children up and take a group photo. Your photo will be sent to our photographer for enhancement and posted back to you (please allow 2-4 weeks), complete with a personalised frame.
You can also have your photo turned into mini photos ($15 for 4 plus $3 postage) or fridge magnets ($20 for 4 plus $3 postage), perfect to keep at home or to send out to others. If you’re looking for an extra-special momento of your time with us, we sell authentic Gourmet Kids cooking aprons ($15 available for purchase on the day or can be posted – $3 postage) and chef hats ($13 available for purchase on the day or can be posted - $3 postage), including the option to pre-print with a photo to wear on the day (personalised apron), or to be printed later with a group or individual photograph as above ($35 each including printed item and postage).

Should parents wish to stay and watch the fun, we have a number of delicious adult food options available:
- Hot savoury finger food (spring rolls, samosas, falafels, risotto balls and sauces) – 30 pieces: $25
- Corn chips, french onion dip and vegetables – serves approximately 15 people: $25
- Plate of our delicious homemade biscuits – 13 pieces: $20
- Chocolate mud cake – approximately 15 slices: $20
- Standard fruit platter (watermelon, cantalope, pineapple, strawberries, grapes) – serves approximately 20: $35
- Large standard fruit platter (watermelon, cantalope, pineapple, strawberries, grapes) – serves approximately 30: $45
- Large special fruit platter (above + seasonal fruit, e.g. cherries, blueberries, passionfruit, lychees) – serves approx. 30: $55
- Standard or mini muffins, cupcakes or pastries – please contact us for pricing or for any other special requests
